About Us

Founded in 1985 as the Gilmer Street Rodders, we became Apple Country Auto Club when the chance enabled the club to be part of Antique Auto Club of America. We are the original car club of Gilmer County. We have grown to be a focal point of the Gilmer County community and North Georgia automotive enthusiasts. Our events include a monthly cruise night on the second Friday of the month (April-September), as well as our annual Apple Classic Auto Show on the first Saturday of the Georgia Apple Festival. Apple Country Auto Club Inc. is a non-profit organization, "preserving the classics for the future", as we give back to our community.

Our events include a monthly cruise night on the second Friday of the month (April-September) at Poole's Bar-B-Q in Ellijay. We have two annual car shows, the Apple Blossom Auto Show on the first Saturday of May during the Georgia Apple Blossom Festival, and in October, our Apple Classic Auto Show, is held on the second Saturday of October during the Georgia Apple Festival. Both shows are held at the Victory Christian Center in Ellijay.

Our club raises money through monetary donations, 50/50 drawings at our meetings and events, and yearly raffle items. Our past raffle items have included a Chevy engine, rifles, generators, etc.

All proceeds that we take in throughout the year are distributed throughout the local community by way of scholarships, donations to Christmas programs for children, as well as other programs that help the community.

As a non-profit organization, we donate our proceeds to help benefit our community in a positive way. Through your support, we are able to raise funds that are donated to organizations that help ensure that families have food on their tables, that children are able to unwrap toys at Christmas, and many other causes. Our Gilmer High School Auto Tech donation, which is given at the end of each school year, goes to a current High School student to help them start a career in the automotive field.

Because of your support, we are able to help take part in building a better future for both children and adults in the community.
