Founded in 1985 as the Gilmer Street Rodders, we became Apple Country Auto Club when the chance enabled the club to be part of Antique Auto Club of America. We are the original car club of Gilmer County. We have grown to be a focal point of the Gilmer County community and North Georgia automotive enthusiasts. Our events include a monthly cruise night on the second Friday of the month (April-September), as well as our annual Apple Classic Auto Show on the first Saturday of the Georgia Apple Festival. For more information on our events or if you are interested in becoming a member contact us through the contact page on the website.
Apple Country Auto Club Inc. is a non-profit organization, "preserving the classics for the future", as we give back to our community.
Our events include a monthly cruise night on the second Friday of the month (April-September) at Poole's Bar-B-Q in Ellijay. Our annual car show, the Apple Classic Auto Show, is held on the first Saturday of the Georgia Apple Festival at Ronnie Thompson Ford.
Our club raises money through monetary donations, 50/50 drawings at our meetings and events, and yearly raffle items. Our past raffle items have included a Chevy engine, rifles, generators, etc. Our 2021 raffle items are a TV and a Generator.
All proceeds that we take in throughout the year are distributed throughout the local community by way of scholarships, donations to Christmas programs for children, as well as other programs that help the community.

We at Apple Country Auto Club would like to thank everyone for their support during the 2020 season.
This year, Apple Country Auto Club donated its proceeds to the following organizations:
- Gilmer Community Food Pantry
- Scholarship for GHS Auto Tech Student
- Toys for Tots
- Community Action
- Gilmer DFCS Foster Family Christmas Program
- Kids Ferst Reading Program
- Gilmer Senior Center
As a non-profit organization, we donate our proceeds to help benefit our community in a positive way. Through your support, we are able to raise funds that are donated to organizations that help ensure that families have food on their tables, that children are able to unwrap toys at Christmas, and many other causes. Our scholarship donation goes to a current High School student planning to go into an automotive related field. Because of your support, we are able to help take part in building a better future for both children and adults in the community.
We at Apple Country Auto Club are looking forward to hopefully getting back to normal in the upcoming year. Please know that all of our sponsors that have donated this year are deeply appreciated and that your donations will help put a smile on a child’s face this Christmas. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
